IOS7 – The flat redesign everyone’s talking about

News from Apple HQ is that IOS7 is going to have an interface which is  “very, very flat”.

This redesign is courtesy of Jony Ive – the new senior vice president of industrial design at apple – it was well known that he dislikes the previous operating system’s outdated icons including a yellow notepad and leather bound books which aren’t in touch with the younger generation.

The redesign is travelling in the wake of windows 8’s ‘Metro’ UI:

IOS7 will apparently be heavy on the features for in car integration too but more details will follow in June.
